Wordpress has come on leaps and bounds, the latest updates since version 2.6 have been brilliant. So much easier to add themes and plug ins. Now it has built in upgrading, though I recommend making a backup first. In fact I have a plug in which backs up daily for me and sends it as an email to me.

Lately I have added Google Analytics to my Wordpress plug ins and the stats are just excellent. takes time for the stats to accumulate to something useful, but great to see what is happening with your site in terms of visitors. The plug in is Ultimate Google Analytics and you can get it by clicking Add new in the Plug ins menu.

Another plug in I have is Vipers Video tags. Makes it really easy to put in video from Youtube and other video sharing sites.

I think I use about 9 plug ins with Word Press at the moment. The Theme I prefer is Atahualpa, and the reason I like it is due to the options available with it. Really easy to configure and is fluid so that it expands to the width of the browser. You can also decide to have either 1 or 2 side bars or even not have a side bar at all. There is so much you can do with it I should really do a screencast about it.
